COUNSELING EXPERIENCE:

I have been working in the counseling field for 23 years. I enjoy helping clients help themselves move forward and live a healthier life. I've worked in college counseling centers, community mental health, schools, and in Corporate America. I primarily use a cognitive behavioral approach and focus on each client's strengths. I believe that if one can learn to re-frame their thinking, feeling better follows. I believe cognitive behavioral strategies can be very effective in helping clients manage symptoms and feel better. I've worked with many clinical issues: including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and many other issues that interfere with one's ability to enjoy life. In addition, I have worked with couples and families. I truly believe that if an individual, couple or family want help, healing is possible.

COACHING EXPERIENCE:

In addition to mental health counseling practices, I also completed training in executive coaching. I have been working in the coaching field since 2007, coaching executive clients for organizations in upper management positions. I am hired by companies to come in and work individually with staff, primarily to assist with strength awareness and development, taking steps to grow professionally, which includes insight and self-awareness, and overcoming barriers to success.

I have completed training in Clifton Strengths (StrengthsFinder) and Via Character Strengths Survey.
